LDM-LEADERSHIP AND DECISION MAKING WORKSHOP© - OUR FLAGSHIP WORKSHOP
This one-day workshop introduces a variety of leadership concepts and decision-making processes applicable in incident command, consequence management, business impact situations and for anyone who values getting better at leading others.
The foundation for the process used has been adapted from elements of the Department of Defense, Special Operations Command and combines with present day doctrines from the Department of Homeland Security and best business practices. These concepts are consistent with and are contemporary to the National Incident Management System, the National Response Framework and National Recovery Framework and General Higher Educational Business Management Systems.
Items that are explored include:
*Basics of Leadership, and Small Unit Tactics
*Key Principles of A Proven Leader
*Utilizing A Formal Decision Making Process
- Defining Expectations, Intent and Managing By Objectives
-Understanding and Evaluating the Needs in a Rapidly Changing Environment
* Evaluating After the Fact (5 Step Process)
*New Tools for the Ongoing Practice of Adaptive Leadership
All of these ideas culminate in having real world tools to be better prepared, stay prepared and execute as a leader.
This workshop brings together leadership tenants from the military, wildfire, business and contemporary concepts in a one-day virtual instructor lead environment. The workshop is in its 15th year of existence and has been conducted for over 500 participants.
